For a Change

 

Is there any accomplishment in the history of mankind that did not begin with a desire for change? The good, the bad, the significant, and all that is in-between stemmed from a hunger to see something novel; something different.

Is there any opportunity greater than a chance to make a change? A neighborhood, friend, school, job, gadget, car, house, partner, child, name, you – you name it – may just be what is needed to do things another way; a better way.

A relative once felt I wasn’t, or cared less about, monetizing this blog; wondered what my motive was but loved its difference in a good way. I was not expecting a view far from what he expressed anyway, as he’s one of the most business minded persons I know. At the same time, I was tickled by the fact that he questioned my intention but appreciated it in the same breath. So you name it, as an ‘internet space’ can just be one of those opportunities you have to create the change(s) you’ll love to see.

You may disagree, but consider this: The last time you were truly out of your mind was when you willfully performed an aimless deed. This leads to a final, maybe most important, inquiry: Is there any more lasting aim of change than to provide loving help? Be it for oneself, others, the environment, etc, the effect(s) of a change not aimed at rendering help guided by love will be temporary, short-lived, brief.

It’s been over six years now and the desire to blog differently, the opportunities I had to create this, coupled with an intention to provide loving help via its posts have earned reviews noting dissimilarity, edification, and – lengthiness of some posts – for which I humorously replied were created when I was ran by so much love.

If there’s one thing about change, it’s that the desire for it barely persists if there isn’t already an opportunity needed by you to create the change in ways only you can. So find a way through the resistance that will want to stand in your way, as history already awaits the change you want to make. Mind you, forever awaits the change if it comes along with an aim led by love.
